Selected filesSix years of financials, rebuilt from scratch
FY 2011 to FY 2017 had never been properly closed, and it was blocking the disinvestment of the US entity. I reconstructed the statements alongside Deloitte, closed the multi-year FEMA and RBI non-compliance and the outstanding APR filings, and got the result accepted by both HDFC Bank and the statutory auditors.
US payroll moved without anyone noticing
Migrated the Nevada entity from Paychex to Deel PEO — W-2 responsibilities, COBRA, the 401(k) plan with Human Interest, the SECURE 2.0 amendment, and state-by-state payroll tax registrations. Then wrote the responsibility matrix so the split between Deel and Finance stopped being a monthly argument.
$220K a year that was quietly leaking
Card SOPs on Mercury, rationalised banking relationships, recovered mis-assigned cloud account codes, and took INR 20 lakh out of FX cost. Separately unstuck a INR 2.8 Cr tax refund that had been sitting for two years, and cleared a $75K cash crunch between the Singapore and US entities with an intercompany loan and restructured payables.
Contracts, from both sides of the table
I close the group's commercial paper — MSAs, NDAs and addendums with PayPal, Dentsu, Reliance, Bajaj Finserv and counterparties across the Netherlands, South Africa and New Zealand. One PayPal review turned up a single inverted word in a liability clause. Rebuilt the MSA and NDA templates so the next hundred contracts start from a better position.
A team that outgrew me on one file
I lead four people. A junior I mentored — commerce degree, no qualification — independently ran a INR 1.8 Cr recovery from a Fortune 500 OEM and got recognised for it across the company. That one matters more to me than the numbers above it.
